COCA-COLA: VENDING LOYALTY
The Coke Vending Program was a multi-year effort that continues to this day. Initial pilot versions used a simple plastic loyalty card that could be used anonymously for a buy 10, get 1 free value proposition, or alternately, the user could link their card with their My Coke Rewards account to accrue and use their points balance for free vends.
As cashless technology evolved, the program saw several brand changes and iterations, rolling out the first of its kind integration with Apple Wallet and Android Wallet. As the My Coke Rewards brand and site was sunset, the vending program lives on as the Coca-Cola Vending Pass.
My role, over several years, included working through the UX flows and screens for how the card linked to the loyalty platform, the copy presented on various vending machine displays, and the UX of special promotions like a program on certain college campuses in conjunction with the Coke Zero brand. I worked with various creative agencies and UI designers during this time.
